From humble beginnings in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Srinivasa Krishnan (SK) developed a fascination for visual art and storytelling at an early age. As a high school student, he would eagerly browse automotive magazines whenever he had the opportunity, often spending more time admiring the photographs than reading the articles themselves. At a time when formal media education and camera equipment were beyond his reach, photography remained a distant dream.

In 2006, SK moved to Chennai, a city he had long dreamed of calling home, in search of better professional opportunities. While building his career in the IT industry, he never lost sight of his childhood passion for photography. In 2009, he began practising the art more seriously, and in 2010, he learned the fundamentals of photography under the mentorship of KL Raja Ponsing, laying the foundation for what would eventually become his full-time profession.

What began as a childhood fascination gradually evolved into a professional career built on perseverance, continuous learning, and an unwavering commitment to the craft. After spending over a decade in senior technical support and subject matter expert roles, SK transitioned to professional photography full-time in 2017, bringing with him the discipline, structured workflow, attention to detail, and problem-solving mindset developed throughout his corporate career.

Since 2015, SK has been documenting motorsport events across India and abroad, covering everything from grassroots racing to international championship events across multiple disciplines. Since 2018, he has served as a Photo Editor with Motorsport.com's Global Edition, contributing to the visual editorial coverage of international motorsport championships including Formula 1, MotoGP, Formula E, the Dakar Rally, the World Rally Championship, the World Endurance Championship, as well as major American racing series such as NASCAR, IndyCar, and IMSA.

The same enthusiast who once admired photographs in automotive magazines now contributes imagery that appears in leading motorsport publications and international media platforms worldwide.

Today, SK is an internationally accredited motorsport photographer, a member of Nikon Professional Services, and a life member of the Photographic Society of Madras. Among the milestones he cherishes most is serving as the official photographer for the inaugural FIA Karting Arrive & Drive World Cup, organized by the FIA, the international governing body of motorsport.

While motorsport remains his primary specialization, SK also photographs sports, concerts, travel, and documentary subjects, bringing the same storytelling approach across genres. Whether working at a race circuit, a sporting arena, a concert venue, or while exploring new places, he strives to create photographs that are both authentic and enduring.

From a small-town dreamer who once admired photographs in magazines to a globally published motorsport photographer, SK's journey has been shaped by perseverance, continuous learning, and an enduring passion for visual storytelling. While the milestones have grown over the years, his approach remains unchanged: to keep learning, keep exploring, and keep telling stories—one frame at a time.

A lifelong Nikon user, he currently shoots with the Nikon Z9, Nikon D5, and Nikon Z6II.
